The delusions of parasitosis is defined as a psychiatric disorder where the patient is convinced of being infested by parasites. The patient usually comes to the doctor with a bottle, box, of matches or pieces of paper or plastic with fragments of skin, scales and/or tobacco. The diagnosis is made by the dermatologist while the treatment is psychiatric.
