Cancer cell-specific anti-podocalyxin antibody and method for producing same

The invention provides a method for producing an antibody to podocalyxin expressed specifically in cancer cells wherein the method includes a step for causing podocalyxin or a part thereof to be expressed specifically in cancer cells by introducing a nucleic acid that encodes all or part of podocalyxin into cells that express a cancer cell-specific sugar chain structure, a step for obtaining an antibody by immunizing non-human mammals using this cancer cell-specific podocalyxin or a part thereof, and a step for purifying this antibody by primary screening using purified cancer cell-specific podocalyxin or a part thereof.
