Rehabilitacija bolesnika sa subakromijalnim sindromom sraza primjenom metoda fizikalne terapije

2018
Subacromial impingement syndrome (SAIS) is one of the commonest causes of shoulder disorders in adults. It is defined as the mechanical compression of subacromial structures between the coracoacromial arch and the humerus during active elevation of the arm above shoulder height. There are several methods of conservative treatment such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, corticosteroid injections, physical therapy (i.e. direct electrotherapy, ultrasound, LASER, extracorporeal shockwave therapy), manual therapy and/or acupuncture. Physical therapy is considered to be the first choice in conservative treatment methods. Medical exercise and other exercise-based therapies are the most important treatment options for SAIS patients. There are various types of exercise programs that reduce pain and disability while increasing the range of movements. Treatment options that are composed of exercise plus other therapies have better effects than exercise alone. Other methods of rehabilitation have shown partial efficiency or inefficiency in the results of treatment. According to previous research, further clinical trials are needed to determine the effect of extracorporeal shockwave therapy and ultrasound therapy There is some evidence that manual therapy and acupuncture are effective. However, there are no data showing that surgical treatment is more effective than conservative short-term and long-term treatment. Further trials are needed to investigate these rehabilitation interventions in order to find out
