Generalized predictive decoupling control for coupling system with large time delay

For multivariable coupling systems with large time delay, a feed-forward decoupling control algorithm is proposed based on the generalized predictive control (GPC). Similar with feed-forward control former, the coupling effect from other control channels is handled as strong disturbance. The related coupling matrix λ and R in GPC algorithm are decomposed and proper parameters are chosen to realize the decoupling control. In addition, the influence of multivariate and large time delay characteristics can be overcome by designing the fuzzy rules based Smith predictive compensator, whose structural parameters are not depending on the decoupling controller. The simulation in the boiler temperature coupling system verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method, and the application method of GPC is expanded.
