DWBA analysis of heavy-ion transfer reactions. - II

1974
The DWBA matrix element, obtained from the post-representation by neglecting the term depending on the difference between the core-core optical potential and the final-channel optical potential, is integrated on the angular variables for bound-state central potentials, after expanding the two scattering wave functions in partial waves. The original six-dimensional integral can then be reduced to a fourfold radial integral without any assumption about the form of the bound-state and scattering functions. The Buttle and Goldfarb approximation, when possible, reduces the fourfold integral to a threefold integral. The final expression can be used for the exact numerical calculation of the DWBA matrix element.
