Cloning of the cDNA Fragments of Human Bactericidal/Permeability-increasing Protein
2001
By using RT-PCR method, the cDNA encoding human bactericidal protein was isolated from total RNAs of peripheral leukocyte of a patient with chronic myelogenous leukemia, which was about 1.5 kb in length. Furthermore, the cDNA fragment of N-terminal of this protein was isolated too, which was about 600 bp in length. These two RT-PCR products were cloned into pUCm-T vector, and two types of recombinant plasmids were screened out respectively. They could be used to study the expression and activity of the recombinant human bactericidal permeability increasing proteins.
