IP 2 C sensor modeling

A model of a new class of polymeric sensors known as ionic polymer-polymer composite (IP 2 C) has been developed. Starting from a previous model, new investigations have been performed in order to improve the sensor model. More specifically, the sensor model has been investigated in a suitable range of working frequencies, by using an ad-hoc realized setup. Moreover the Young's modulus value of IP 2 Cs has been measured by means of the dynamic mechanical analysis and results have been used in the identification of the IP 2 C sensor model. Experimental evidence of the suitability of the proposed model is given in the paper.
