Crystal Structure of the Nd(Cd,Si)2 Compound

Abstract The crystal structure of the Nd(Cd,Si)2 compound (C2/m space group, a=10.969(3) A, b=4.061(2) A, c=7.038(4) A, β=129.05(1)°, V=243.49 A3, ρ=7.931 g/cm3, μ=29.89 mm−1, R=0.0390 for 323 reflections with Fo>4σ(Fo)) was determined from single-crystal X-ray diffraction (Laue, rotation and Weissenberg methods and automatic diffractometer Philips PW 1100, Mo Kα radiation).
