Analysis of psychological intervention of the patients with carcinoma during treatment

Objective: To study the effects of psychological intervention on depression and anxiety of the patients with carcinoma. Methods: Brief psychiatric rating scale (BPRS) was used to analyze the mental health of 40 patients with carcinoma. The correlated factors of BPRS such as depression, anxiety were studied too. Results: The BPRS scores and the scores of correlated factors of the BPRS after psychological intervention were significantly lower than that of before psychological intervention (P0.05). Conclusion: Psychological intervention was important in the mental health of patients with carcinoma.
