Steel for liquefied petroleum gas cylinders produced by continuous casting and rolling of medium and thin slabs and production method thereof

2011
The invention relates to steel for liquefied petroleum gas cylinders produced by continuous casting and rolling of medium and thin slabs and a production method thereof, which belong to the technical field of metallurgical steel rolling. Steel plates with high stamping performance can be obtained on medium and thin slab production lines through controlled rolling and controlled cooling technology. The technical scheme is that the steel comprises the following chemical components in percentage by mass: 0.15 to 0.18 percent of C, 0.70 to 0.90 percent of Mn, 0.10 percent of Si, less than or equal to 0.008 percent of S, less than or equal to 0.020 percent of P, 0.015 to 0.035 percent of Als, less than or equal to 0.005 percent of N, and the balance of Fe. The steel for producing the liquefied petroleum gas cylinders has the tensile strength of 445 to 470Mpa, the yield strength of 305 to 335MPa, the elongation of 35 to 40 percent, and the yield ratio of less than or equal to 0.8. By the production method, the medium and thin slab production lines subjected to process improvement are used for producing steel for welded gas cylinders, and the steel plates with good stamping performance are obtained, so that the production cost of the steel for the welded gas cylinders is reduced; and the steel plates produced by the method can meet various mechanical performance indexes used for manufacturing the liquefied petroleum gas cylinders.
