Synchronous spectrofluorimetric method for identifying technical oils and detecting aromatic hydrocarbons present in them

1988
This study deals with the use of synchronous spectrofluorimetry to identify various types of technical oils and to establish their qualitative composition. The fluorescence spectra were recorded and the fluorescence an dsynchronous fluorescence spectra were excited at room temperature on a Jobin Yvon 3CS spectrofluorimeter. The derivative synchronous spectra were recorded on a Silex minicomputer coupled to the spectrofluorimeter. The following technical oils were investigated: L Diesel oil to GOST 305-82; an oil for marine gas turbines to GOST 10289-62; a single marine fuel TU 38401398-82.
