Геологическое строение и тектоническое развитие юго-восточной части Нижневартовского свода

The paper analyzes the influence of the Mesozoic Cenozoic tectonic processes on oil-bearing capacity of the Nizhnevartovsk arch and the Koltogorsky megatrough junction zone. The research was conducted on the basis of integrated interpretation of seismic data, well-logging measurements and deep drilling data. The results testify to the fact that the Upper Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous deposits account for the main petroleum potential there. The paper provides recommendations on the areas, promising in terms of discovery of new hydrocarbon deposits.
