Structural and magnetic properties of cobalt (II) copper (II) phosphate granular layers prepared by an inorganic sol-gel process

2002
We report on structural and magnetic properties of Co–Cu–P granular layers, prepared by an inorganic sol–gel process. The structural properties were investigated using X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Structural characterisation confirmed the polycrystalline nature of the layers. The compounds present in these layers are Na3Co9(PO4)7, NaNO3 and NaCl salts. At room temperature, the magnetic properties of the layers show an evolution of hysteresis loops with the concentration of copper. D 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
