Fluctuations and non-randomness in continuous network models

1980
Abstract It is shown by the analysis of numerous continuous network (CN) models that in truly random networks the distortion energy distribution (DED) functions over individual atoms are smooth f n (X 2 ) type functions whose parameter n depends on the bonding within the model. Non-randomness gives rise to non-monotonous DEDs. The spatial repartition of empty space allows CN models to accomodate foreign atoms interstitially in relatively high amounts.
