In this study, the bioactive components of Asparagus racemosus rhizomes have been evaluated using GC/MS. The chemical compositions of the ethanol extract of Asparagus racemosus rhizomes were investigated using Perkin-Elmer Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry, while the mass spectra of the compounds found in the extract was matched with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) library. GC/MS analysis of ethanol extract of Asparagus racemosus rhizomes revealed the existence of Squalene (30.52), n-Hexadecanoic acid (13.75) and Didodecylphthalate (23.67). The results of this study offer a platform of using Asparagus racemosus rhizomes as herbal alternative for various diseases.
