Restriction of radiation pulse duration in microwave generators using microsecond REB

Single mode generation with 3 cm wave-lenghth, 300 ns pulse duration,microwave power 50 MW was obtained. Duration of the microwave pulse was less than that of the beam current pulse. The reason for the pulse duration limitation is the increasing of the beam radius in time.
