Hypotonic hyporesponsive episode is an adverse reaction after childhood immunization It usually occurs after immunization It usually occurs after immunizaionwith pertussis component vaccine It is characterized by sudden onset of hypotonia unserponsiveness and change of skin color paleness or cyanosis within 48 hour after immunization Generally it is a benign self limited and nonrecurrent event Here we report a case with hypotonic hyporesponsive episode following first dose immunization including diphtheria tetanus pertussis hepatitis B and BCG vaccines In the light of the present case we review the literature and remined this clinical entity Key words: Adwerse reaction hypotonic hyporesponsive episode immunization pertussis vaccine
