O ENSINO REMOTO EMERGENCIAL NO MUNICÍPIO DE MONGAGUÁ, SP

The process of public education policies implementation in a municipal sphere requires reflection about the numerous elements that influence such process to the end of granting education quality. Due to the pandemic of COVID-19 and the health crisis, year 2020 suffered from intervening factors of all kinds, which caused the imminent need to install remote teaching to preserve the students’ health and of their families. The school networks had to urgently adopt actions and strategies aiming to mitigate the impacts of the pandemic in education while taking into consideration the social, political and cultural context, according to recently published studies. In this sense, the purpose of this article is to analyze and discuss the actions and strategies adopted by municipal schools in the city of Mongagua, located in the region of Santos, Sao Paulo state, based on the guidelines they received from the Department of Municipal Education (DEM).
