The invention provides a backlight module and a liquid crystal display device. The backlight module comprises a light guide plate, a first light source device and a second light source device. The light guide plate is provided with a first side edge, a second side edge and a third side edge, wherein the first side edge is opposite to the third side edge, and the second side edge is connected between the first side edge and the third side edge. The first light source device is arranged on two sides of an intersection angle of the first side edge and the second side edge and faces towards the first side edge and the second side edge. The second light source is arranged on two sides of an intersection angle of the second side edge and the third side edge and faces towards the second side edge and the third side edge.
