Identificación y discriminación de Tequilas reposados in situ para la protección de marca

The UV-Visible absorption spectra of four well-known brands of rested Tequilas were analized using multivariate tecniques in order to identify brands. This methodology can be performed in situ therefore it can be implemented as a protection means of the beverage brand. 40 samples of rested Tequilas were purchased from bars and liquor stores in the cities of Zacatecas, Zac and Leon, Gto. and we were looking for similarities and differences among the tested brands for grouping and predictions over new testing samples. This work describes the used methodology for those alcoholic beverages which is complementary to the methodology used through analytical chemistry. The results show a nice grouping of tequilas according to the corresponding brand such that any new testing tequila could be classified among the studied brands.
