ESTIMATION OF THE NUTRITION REGIME CONDITION IN 12-13 YEARS-OLD TEENAGERS FROM THE IAŞI CITY ACCORDING TO THE LORENTS FORMULA (THEORETICAL IDEAL WEIGHT)

The study provides a direct estimation of daily trophic consumption correlated with the stature-weight ratio in a group formed of 210 teenagers, with ages between 12 and 13 years, from the city of Iasi. Control of the stature-weight ratio in adolescents represents an extremely important measure for preventing obesity and alimentary disorders. Estimation of ideal weight in this stage of age, when the adolescent is more and more concerned by the physical aspect and may be easily influenced in selecting a certain food regime, appears as an efficient means for controlling nutritional health.
