Caratterizzazione chimica del seme di Zapote (Lucuma mammosa)

In this short paper a study about the chemical characterization of Zapote (Lucuma mammosa) seed coming from El Salvador (Central America) is reported. An oily extract of this seed is used to improve the hair growth. The seed composition as well as fatty acid and sterol composition of the extracted oil are reported. The only interesting fact is that a very high erithrodiol content into the unsaponifiable fraction has been found.
