Studies of platinum(II) compounds in aqueous solution. Part 3. The study of some reactions of K2[PtCl4] and K[Pt(NH3)Cl3]
1998
Abstract Thin layer chromatography was used for studying the reaction of K 2 [PtCl 4 ] in NaCl and in KBr solutions under various conditions. The behaviour of K[Pt(NH 3 )Cl 3 ] in water and in KBr solutions at room temperature was also examined. In KBr solutions K[Pt(NH 3 )Cl 3 ] forms mixed bromochloro complexes as well as some [PtBr 4 ] 2− and an uncharged species. R f values for a number of Pt(II) complexes with aqua-, amino-, chloro- and bromo- substituents are reported.
