The embodiment of the invention discloses a picture processing method. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a feature image in an original picture; acquiring preset condition parameters; selecting at least one of the preset condition parameters; by taking the feature image as a reference, generating a target image area which accords with the selected at least one preset condition parameter, wherein the target image area does not exceed the original picture; intercepting the target picture from the original picture according to the generated target image area; and displaying the intercepted target picture on the terminal. Correspondingly, the embodiment of the invention also discloses a terminal. By adoption of the method, the relative positions or ratio of the feature image and the target picture can intelligently and accurately meet the preset condition parameters, and one of the preset condition parameters needing to be met can be automatically selected, so that the picture processing process is convenient.
