National Registers eGoverment Pillar in the Czech Republic

2013
The main aim of public administration electronization is to increase its efficiency and transparency. It should significantly facilitate the communication between citizens, enterprises, other subjects and public administration. The electronization strives to minimize the number of visits at state authorities and to overcome location and time barriers. Building basic register systems, a unified database for all public administration agenda, is a key project with a view to meet these objectives in the Czech Republic. The registers were launched on 1st July 2012, which was an important milestone. However, this is just a start of the whole process that will now require implementation to the entire public administration system and at the same time change to a wide range of long-term established procedures.
