Feeding-behaviour responses to anthropogenic factors on Salamandra salamandra (Amphibia, Caudata).

2010
On 5th of April 2010 we studied two populations of Salamandra salamandra from a natural and an anthropogenic affected habitat. The study was made on the same day, analysing the anthropogenic-caused differences in the trophic niche. For survival salamanders accommodate to the poor feeding conditions by accentuating their feeding intensity and efficiency. The differences that appear between the trophic spectrum of these two populations are the result of some external factors, like the availability of the preys, the preyssensibility to environmental changes, their presence determining the composition of the feeding spectrum of salamanders.
