A method of determining the curvature of a tubular structure

The invention relates to a method for determining the curvature of a tubular structure (50), comprising: -the determination of the inclination of first and second rigid objects (54, 56) fixed separate locations, comprising for each object : - provision of two accelerometers (a-1, ... aN) connected by the object and measuring an acceleration in at least one measuring direction (vj), the respective measurement directions of the accelerometers are non-collinear; - measuring components of the earth gravity field along said directions of measurement; - solving the matrix equation for determining the inclination Φ of the object (54): -the determination of the curvature of the tubular structure from the inclinations determined for the first and second objects.
