Opportunities and Prospects of Using Chatbots in HR

The article describes functions, opportunities, and prospects of using chatbots in HR. The purpose of this article is a description of the existing practice of using chatbots to automate personnel management processes of companies, as well as an analysis of the future development of this tool. In the framework of this study general theoretical methods were used, allowing processing and systematizing large amounts of information, such as content analysis, generalization, and structuring information. Application of these methods allowed to analyze the practice of using chatbots in Russian and foreign companies and to formulate the main directions of application of this tool in HR- services at the present stage, which is the main result of this work. As an illustration of the results of this work, functions, and possibilities of ChatFirst chatbot are given. In addition, the difficulties of using chatbots associated with a human factor in working with personnel are described. As a conclusion, the article describes perspective directions of using chatbots in the practice of human resources management, advantages of chatbots, and also draws conclusions about the need for delineation of functions of HR-services specialists and artificial intelligence tools. Promising directions of the use of chatbots in the work of personnel management services are formulated.
