Doppler imaging of UX Arietis in Nov.-Dec. 2001

The high-resolution observation for RS CVn-type star UX Ari was carried out using echelle spectrograph of the 2.16m telescope at Xinglong station in Nov.-Dec. 2001. Two usual spectral lines FeI6430.844 angstrom and CaI 6439.075 angstrom axe analyzed by using Doppler imaging technique, and the starspot pattern of UX Ari is obtained. The result shows that the spots distribute in high-latitude, mid-latitude, and low-latitude regions. Compared with the previous results derived by Aarum et al. (1999) and us (2003), the starspot feature and evolution of UX Ari axe discussed.
