Diagnostic value of double-source computed tomography and 3. 0T MR for diseases in the duodenal papillary region

2013
Objective:To investigate the value of double-source CT( DSCT) and 3. 0T MR in the diagnosis of diseases in the duodenal papillary region. Methods:Forty-seven cases with diseases in the duodenal papillary region were included in this study, their radiological characteristics of CT and MRI were retrospectively analyzed and compared with pathological results. Results:The accuracy, sensitivity and specificity of diagnosis for the benign and malignant lesions in the duodenal papillary region were 78. 72%,66. 7% and 66. 7% respectively by DSCT,and 84. 62%,72. 7% and 89. 3% respectively by 3. 0T MR. Both imaging results were significantly consistent with pathological findings( Kappa = 0. 629,0. 620). Conclusion:DSCT and 3. 0T MR were accurate for detecting diseases in the duodenal papillary region, while the MR and magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography( MRCP) could be used to synthetically evaluate both the diseases and their complications, with more information for clinical diagnosis.
