The (p, t) and (p, 3He) reactions on 10B at Ep = 52 MeV

Abstract The 10 B(p, t) 8 B and 10 B(p, 3 He) 8 Be reactions have been studied by using 51.9 MeV proton beams. Angular distributions for these reactions are analyzed on the basis of the wave functions of Cohen and Kurath within the framework of zero-range DWBA calculations. An isospin mixing ratio has been deduced for the 16.63 MeV and 16.92 MeV states of 8 Be, and compared with previous works. The effect of the coupling of the 0 + ground state and the 2.9 MeV 2 + state in 8 Be on the shape of the angular distributions for the 10 B(p, 3 He) 8 Be reaction leading to these states is also investigated in the second-order DWBA.
