A process for the production of glasses, in particular glass ceramics

There is described a method for the manufacture of glass, which comprises the steps of generating a molten glass, a shaping of the glass melt, a cooling and relaxation as well as a post-processing. Here, a local oxygen partial pressure in a molding process for producing a reducing condition is set in order to suppress redox-sensitive crystallization reactions.
