Continuous production of amorphous fiber chop with air carrying system and device therefor

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously produce cut amorphous fibers by the use of an air carrying system giving good efficiency, reliability and simplicity. SOLUTION: This device contains a source 12 for supplying a froth-like material, a duct 20 for carrying the froth-like material, while the froth-like material is accompanied by the flow of a gaseous carrier medium, a chopper 28 for cutting the froth-like material, and a separator 26. While accompanied by the flow of the gaseous carrier medium, the froth-like material is cut with a rotary ring chopper 28, and the cut froth-like material pieces are substantially separated with a cyclone separator 26.
