Upravljanje promjenama kao uvjet razvoja digitalne knjižnice

The need to define the strategic changes in our libraries is a part of our vision. The purpose of this article is to analyse and define the critical factors and recent obstacles influencing the development of digital libraries. The concept of digital library in its organisational and functional aspect implies the trinity of technical/technological architecture, special procedures and standards for building digital collections and access for users. One of the first challenges is how to integrate a digital library into the traditional one. Critical factor influencing the integration is expected to be knowledge management and management of human resources. Knowledge management as a concept in management theory is strategically important for implementing changes in digital libraries, which implies changes in organisational structures, organisational cultures and human resources management.
