Analysis of Magnetic Flux Density of Air Gap in Turbo-Generators Using Equivalent Magnetic Network Method

A new method to calculate the air gap magnetic circuit for large turbo-generator with uniform air gap and large and small teeth in rotor is presented. The equivalent magnetic network model of stator outer diameter and rotor inner diameter of a 1240MW turbo-generator is established by two methods, and its electromagnetic characteristics are analyzed under no-load condition. By comparing the air gap flux density with the finite element method, the correctness of the modeling method is verified.
