Grain orientation in Sm2Bi2Ti3O12 ferroelectric ceramic

2008
Grain orientation in Sm2Bi2Ti3O12 ferroelectric ceramics was induced by dry‐uniaxial pressing and a sintering schedule. The growth of oriented grains increased with the sintering time reaching 63% in terms of the method proposed by Lotgering and H. Watanave. Results suggest that typical two‐dimensional grain growth occurs by partial absorption between grains during sintering process.
