Plastic formation of a cylinder from a regular multifaceted prism

Forming a cylinder from a regular multifaceted prism is modeled by plastic compression of ribs using a flat instrument. The theory of planar deformation of an ideally flat body is used. The model describes the processes of plastic compression of the ribs of large ingots of multiangle cross-section upon free forging and forging of the shafts after the broach by flat peens on a square using the forging machines with program control.
