Comparison of controller in a three phase CHB Inverter

2019
The multilevel inverter (MLI) used in VSI has acquired wide utilization in industries in the context of obtaining greater voltage with pared down frequencies of switching. MLIs are known for less THD with increased number of level. Since the inception of the Multilevel converter concept its complexity incorporates the development of proper modulation techniques, control strategy and optimized converter resources. An optimized delay angle is calculated using DEA for the inverter and IGBT is modeled using curve flitting equations. Proper current controller is desirable in case of any disturbance observed when connected to a system of energy sources. This paper deals in designing a Proportional Resonant controller (PR) and an Adaptive fuzzy controller for controlling the power of a three phase CHB inverter fed by PV cell during loading and the result is compared with the conventional PID controller. The work is simulated in MATLAB Simulink and it is found that the fuzzy is giving better response as compared to any other regulator.
