Democratizing Executive Power

In his last book, Le Bon Gouvernement / The Good Government (Le Seuil, 2015), Pierre Rosanvallon moves his exploration of the democratic experience from legislation to the exercise of power. Since democracies grant more and more prerogatives to presidents, the interview emphasizes the necessity to better control executive power, thanks to new civil institutions and practices.
