Workshop on Testing QCD Through Spin Observables in Nuclear Targets

2003
A summary of the Workshop is presented. The Workshop was held at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia from April 18th to April 20th, 2002. It was sponsored by the Institute of Nuclear and Particle Physics at the University of Virginia, Jefferson Laboratory and the International Spin Physics Committee. There were 60 registrants, 12 plenary talks and 27 parallel session contributions. Summary talks were given by Abhay Deshpande and Mark Strikman on the experimental and theoretical aspects, respectively, covered in the Workshop. The topics of the four parallel sessions were; ’New Initiatives’, ’Polarized Beams and Targets’, ’Inclusive, Exclusive and Semi-Inclusive Asymmetries’ and ’Spin in Few Body Systems’. Other talks covered the programs at existing facilities, structure functions and form factors and transversity. The Proceedings of the Workshop will be published by World Scientific Publishers.
