USAF/AAWG/CGET Advanced Agent Reference Database Description

1996
Abstract : In 1993, production of halon fire and explosion protection agents was phased out and to date, no Halon 1301 substitute has been identified to provide total flood protection against fires and explosions in normally occupied areas without major changes in system hardware. A study was begun to assess the probability of success and to determine the most promising directions for development of new chemical alternatives to Halon 1301. A database entitled the USAF/AAWG/CGET ADVANCED AGENT REFERENCE Database was established as a repository of summary information on documents relating to advanced agents. This report describes the structure and organization of the database, and provides images of the major forms used to present the data, which includes a complete bibliographic citation, abstract, and text blocks for conclusions on potential agent use and evaluation of the concept presented in the paper. The data are stored in a companion database, the NMERI LIBRARY Database.
