Perfil dos agricultores convencionais e “agroecológicos” integrantes da feira de comercialização direta do município de Chapecó, SC

An important mechanism to enforce family farming are short circuits of commercialization,especially concerning fair-trades. In this regard, Chapeco accounts with 10 fair-trades, whereconventional and agroecological famers sell their products. Therefore, this study aims toanalyze the profile of family farmers who negotiate their products at municipal fair-trades. Forprimary data of the research, 15 farmers were interviewed, that is, 9 conventional and 6 agroecologicalfarmers. Results shows that theagroecological farmers usually work a longer dailyperiod on the activity. Thus, these farmers also use a greater area to produce horticulturalcropsand thus sell a higher variety of products on local fairs.
