Bronchopleural fistula after concurrent chemoradiotherapy

2020
Abstract This report describes a case of a bronchopleural fistula occurring after concurrent chemoradiation therapy in a patient with a T3N3M0 IIIB Non-Small Cell Lung Carcinoma (NSCLC) in the right upper lobe. This is a very rare complication that has not been described in the literature before. The goal of this report is to increase awareness of the potentially severe complications caused by chemoradiation and the treatment options of a bronchopleural fistula after concurrent chemoradiation.
