Fault Interval Judgment of Urban Distribution Grid Based on Edge Computing of Distribution Internet of Things

2021
The emergence of the Internet of Things has promoted the development of the transmission and processing of information in the distribution grid. More and more automation and intelligent devices are deployed in the distribution grid, bringing a considerable amount of data information, which far exceeds the processing and service capacity of the main station in the regional distribution information network center. Under this background, the edge computing model, which distributes the data computing tasks originally undertaken by the main station of distribution information network center among the host nodes of each edge computing node in the system, is proposed. The urban power distribution network, mainly in the form of switching stations and terminal structures, is suitable for management and organization by adopting edge computing mode. In this paper, a single-phase grounding fault diagnosis method for distribution grid, which is applied on the internal edge computing host of a switching station, is introduced. Whether there is a grounding fault in the management area and where the fault occurs are determined by comparing the difference of zero-sequence electrical quantity of multiple lines with the edge computing node host. The validity of the algorithm is verified by a real field experiment.
