Method of synthesizing alkyl vinyl acetals by the dehydrochlorination of alkyl 2-chloroethyl acetals

1. The dehydrochlorination of alkyl 2-chloroethyl acetals in presence of solid caustic alkali was studied. 2. A method was developed for the preparation of alkyl vinyl acetals. 3. Acetaldehyde propyl vinyl, isopropyl vinyl, butyl vinyl, and isobutyl vinyl acetals were synthesized.
