BIOAKUMULASI LOGAM BERAT TIMBAL (Pb) DAN SENG (Zn) PADA KERANG DARAH (Anadara granosa L.) DAN KERANG BAKAU (Polymesoda bengalensis L.) DI PERAIRAN TELUK KENDARI TESIS

2012
The development of the coastal region at Kendari bay fast enough with a variety of activities both in the form of marine services such as ports for shipping and fisheries as well as activities around the coast such as residential, industrial, and aquaculture businesses. Presence of heavy metals in the waters was either directly harmful to life of clemps blood (Anadara granosa) and mangrove oysters (Polymesoda bengalensis), as well as indirect effects on human health. This study was aimed to analyze the content of heavy metals Pb and Zn in water, sediment and shellfish tissue and assessing the bioaccumulation factor of heavy metals Pb and Zn in the two types of.shellfish. Samples of water, sediment and shellfis were conected on each habitat of the shellfish location there were stations with 3 replications of analysis. Research showed that the metals Pb and Zn in the water at each location have been beyond the quality standard, the highest levels of each of 0.018 mg / L and 0.793 mg / L, whereas at the highest sediment each of 0.823 mg / kg and 6.919 mg / kg, and on shellfish tissue results showed that the larger size, of the metal-containing shells of Pb and Zn higher, respectively 1.750 and 9.863 mg / kg. (Sediments and shellfish have mesur also not surpass the quality standards). BCFo-s values of Pb and Zn metal supreme shellfish were 2.12 and 2.02 in blood, weveas sedangkn BCFo-w Value of Pb (119.20) was the highest on mangrove clams and the highest Zn (35.99) was in blood clams. The value of water with sediment accumulation factor showed Pb was highest (70.87) at the location of mangrove oysters, the highest Zn was 14.28 at the habitat of blood clams. The average value of bioaccumulation BCFo-w was higher than the value of bioaccumulation BCFo-s (BCFo-w> BCFo-s), showed both types of clams mussels accumulated Pb and Zn higher than the water, indicated appropriate nature of the shells to take food by filtering water ( filter feeder). Based on the category of IFK (BCF), therefore Pb and Zn contents was included in the category of low to moderate.
