Micro- and nanostructures D-shaped fiber, said optical fiber into a D-shaped cross-sectional shape of the letter D-type, i.e. a circular side surface of the optical fiber, the optical fiber on the other side is flat or nearly flat, circular surface of the optical fiber core to a distance (radius r) side is 50 to 200 m, plane distance d to the core is 5 to 15 microns; d is provided on the plane of the concavo-convex pattern structure, the concavo-convex pattern of the periodic structure 0.2 ~ 15um, width 100 ~ 1000nm, the depth of one-dimensional array or two-dimensional grid array of 100 ~ 400nm; plane side of the optical fiber has a strong evanescent field, are susceptible to structural features and the regulation of the surface material properties. In the process of preparation of micro- and nanostructures of the D-fiber surface, particularly for the use of nanoimprint technology to transfer the template structure onto the plane of the D-shaped fiber, micro and nano structures by evanescent field optical fiber and the plane D transferred interaction, the optical fiber internal light transmission is modulated, so as to realize the light sensor, the light-induced modulation functions.
