Camera monitoring system and method

The invention discloses a camera monitoring system and method. The camera monitoring system is used for monitoring whether a camera shooting unit of a mobile terminal is normally started or not, and a control unit of the mobile terminal is used for controlling the operating state of the camera shooting unit. A signal input end of a monitoring unit of the camera monitoring system is connected with a control end of the camera shooting unit, and the monitoring unit is used for acquiring the starting signals of the control unit for controlling starting of the camera shooting unit, a signal input end of a judgment unit is connected with a signal output end of the monitoring unit, and the judgment unit is used for judging whether the camera shooting unit is normally started or not, and a signal output end of the judgment unit is connected with the control unit. The monitoring unit is used for monitoring whether or not a camera of the camera shooting unit is normally started or not so as to prevent the camera from being started covertly by other backstage programs, and a user can be notified in time of whether the camera is normally started or not by a light emitting diode (indicator lamp) and an alarm frame, if not, the user can take proper protective measures.
