Urban Green Development:An International Comparison and Perspective of Problems

The urban development mode of relying on resources consumption and pollutant emission,which has promoted economic prosperity,is dragging the country into the quagmire of resource over-consumption and environmental degradation.In response to the challenges of resources and environment face rapid urbanization,Chinese cities should shift to the way of green development.With combination of qualitative and quantitative analyses,we build up the environmental performance evaluation system,and get the green city indexes of 58 cities in China and 25 cities abroad,which are used to analyze and examine the differences in the performance of urban green development between domestic cities and abroad,to point out the existing problems and future direction for urban green development.
