A Miniaturized Quad-Band Frequency Selective Surface

2020
To meets the multi-band and miniaturization requirements of modern communication equipment, a single-layer multi-band frequency selection with multiple narrow pass/broad stopbands at the L-, S-, C-, X-, Ku-, and K-band is designed based on the slot unit Surface structure. The results show that this type of structure forms four -3dB transmission band gaps within 1-6.6SGHz, 8.35-16.9GHz, 18.0-24GHz, and 24.50-27.84GHz respectively; the unit area is only 15.5% of the original unit area, with miniature characteristics; good angular and polarization stability in the scanning range of 0-60°. The structure can be applied to satellite communications, radome, and other related fields.
